Ciao!
Hope you’re having a wonderful fall. My early autumnal month was full of wonderful surprises, incredible meals, and the most pleasurable company.
Back on my steakhouse tour, I crossed Keen’s off the list a few weeks ago, and was very impressed by the filet mignon. It’s clear why they’ve been around for over a century, and the old school New York style is a memory of the former herald square theatre district where the restaurant resides.
No later than 24 hours later, still reminiscing in chophouse dreams, I was brought to my favorite tasting menu— Jungsik! The last time I had been here was weeks before Covid shut the city down, and oh how I missed this contemporary Korean wonder of the culinary world. I was thrilled indulge in their signatures like galbi style cuts and modern banchan, along with new (to me) dishes like the octopus confit. My favorite dish was the carabinero, naturally as shrimp have become my favorite food since coming back from Spain.
My dance card remains with some availability next week for Chicago, with longer dates prioritized and pre-booking encouraged. This will be my first time in Chicago so I’d love to fit in a museum date or explore the local food scene!
I’m looking forward to making many new memories this month, restaurant related or otherwise. I’m so excited celebrate my birthday in New York City later this month with all my friends and lovers. And, in true celebratory fashion, I’m offering a special rate for October and early November on bookings four hours or more in length. These rates are available by request for pre screened clients, so write me a note and let’s make some magic this month!
Xoxo
Mina
