Bonjour darling,
How have you been? Me personally, I’ve been swept up in my schedule from post-birthday to pre-turkey festivities. It feels like I’ve been in a celebratory mode for weeks! And now Christmas just around the corner.
I know I’ve hinted at it but I’m skipping a lot of travel currently in favor of focusing on my writing work. I have a poetry class this month as well as preparation for two new personal projects (one which may take me on a trip of it’s own). As a result, I will be available in NYC exclusively until 2023. I will be touring and taking FMTY beginning of January next year.
So… in the meantime, here’s a list of my dream dates for December.
First on the list, and perhaps the most idyllic day, is a day of ice skating at Rockefeller center followed by dinner at Le Rock. If you’re not the most graceful on the ice, we could always take a cab downtown to The Standard Highline where they have currently have roller rink bumper cars until 11pm. Le Rock is a non-negotiable here, I simply can’t go without their caviar dip potatoes au dauphine.
Second, one of the more intimate options, is après fondue at Aldo Sohm Wine Bar. A special offered annual only for the month of December, we could cozy up with charcuterie, cheese, and wine après ski, stroll, or ménage in the outdoor galleria shared with Le Bernardin. We can warm up with spiced cider to start…
Lastly, and my favorite… is a date to the interactive theatrical experience Sleep No More. Located in the McKittrick Hotel and first brought to life in New York in 2011, the modern interpretation of Macbeth has returned after a long hibernation. I’ve been obsessed with this (and other immersive theater) since seeing it in shows like Girls and Gossip Girl when I was in high school. Funnily it’s lead me to become nostalgic for something I’ve yet to experience.
So, if you’d like to get in touch about these dates, or others, please write me at minayoon@pm.me. December is naturally a busy month for us all, but I’ll always make time for some holiday cheer!
Xoxo Mina
