Good morning fellow readers,
I hope the last month has delivered to you pleasures and prizes alike. I’ve had quite the month filled with a minor surgery, a minor fracture (just a phalanx!) , and a much needed holiday. Flitting around nightlife scenes from Downtown to Tulum really has me reeling, but I’m hoping to fill my dance card this month with some literal dancing.
But, before my little list, some news—
As many of you can assume, this upcoming season I will be taking my annual Summer Hiatus starting at the end of May. Last year I loved having a slow European summer, coming back to the states was like leaving a dream. My days of vine cultivation have spoiled me, and the french attitude towards work, especially in the summer, really is a testament to true leisure that I have adopted as my own.
Similarly to last year’s hiatus, I will only be available for a select number of FMTY bookings, however I will not be based in the EU this time. Old friends may get in touch about my undisclosed whereabouts this summer and new clients may inquire and receive such information after screening and video consultation.
For those who would like a bite of my time in May, better get on the dance card soon since I’m a one-way ticket type of girl.
But before I go, here are some musts at the top of my list for a last month in New York City
Seeing one last broadway show- ok, so listen… I watched Chicago for the first time ever on my flight to Mexico and I became so obsessed with it, I watched it a second time on my flight to NYC. On the flight down, I did Chicago on a double feature with No Country For Old Men, which was an underrated, yet complimentary, pairing. Needless to say, I am Chicago-pilled and I must see the show on Broadway this month. I am no longer manifesting, I am demanding it!!
Hotel staycation with a pool- This one is kind of tricky because it can be down to some last minute weather dependent scheduling. But it is also one of the secrets to getting in a last minute booking with me (and best used in combination with the usual prompt screening and a little tip incentive). I love a daytime hotel pool on a perfect day, especially during the week. Feels like playing hooky. My favs are the Willam Vale, Soho House, and the 1 Hotel in Dumbo.
Go dancing all the time- I’m getting so serious about nightlife in a holistic way. Or Maybe, the German Way. Light dinner, no booze, good sleep, a sunrise set that you actual wake up for instead of being awake for. Years ago I went to a boiler room event in Brooklyn. Everything leading up to the best dj slots of 4-6am was just the pregame. Right as the sun is rising over the industrial landscape, I see roves of health goths arriving fresh faced to the warehouse. Genius, I thought, roll out of bed and head straight to the club. Some people really do have it all figured out.
